Carlouel Beach & Yacht Club is very proud of its heritage and rightfully so. We have always been a club of shared values. To continue to strengthen those ideals, the House Committee and the Board have established this Dress Code to accommodate and ensure all members always feel welcome to use their club.
The Dress Code policy will be in effect on a year round basis and will not change during the summer or winter season
Semi Formal for gentlemen is defined by discretion of General Manager according to the event. These events include Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Events.
Resort Casual for gentlemen is defined as having nice slacks, nice jeans, Bermuda length shorts (Family night, Birdcage, Randolph Room), collared shirts, button down shirts, nice shoes and footwear with the option of wearing a sport coat. For women: nice pants, skorts, skirts, capris, nice tops, casual dress, sundress and footwear.
For children 12 and under: Appropriate tee shirts are allowed after 6pm in the Clubhouse. The term “resort” indicates attire that is a cut above very casual clothes for children and adults. Jeans with holes or rips, camisoles, t-shirts, and short shorts or very short skirts are not permitted in the Clubhouse. Slogan images are not approved for resort casual dress.
Birdcage for gentlemen is defined as wearing tee-shirts or shirts with footwear. Ladies are required to wear cover-ups and footwear. After 6pm, the Birdcage attire returns to Resort Casual.
Out of respect for your fellow members, the following are never allowed inside the Club House: Short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, crop tops, bare feet, no shirt or muscle shirts.
Lobby and Bar Area - The following are allowed in the lobby and bar area before 6:00 p.m.
Bathing suit with a cover-up for the ladies, or a sport shirt or T-shirt for the gentlemen, hats or golf visors are to be removed when entering the Clubhouse. After 6:00pm, the Clubhouse returns to Resort Casual.
Exceptions to the dress code will be noted in the Barometer. If in doubt, please ask when making reservations. Further, when making reservations, please help the Club accommodate you best by requesting the location you would like to dine. When the entire Club is reserved for a private event, one area will always be reserved for our Members' use. In this case, Resort casual is the requirement to dine.
